Your Local Eye Doctors
We’re a locally owned, private optometry practice. Drs. Matt Laurie and Matt Lowenstein, Optometrists, co-founded Vision Today in 2007. They’re both from Manhattan, Kansas and live in Overland Park.
Dr. Matt Lowenstein
Optometrist
Dr. Matt Lowenstein is from Manhattan, Kansas. He received his B.S. in Life Sciences from Kansas State University in 1993 and his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) from the University of Houston in 1997. Dr. Lowenstein began his Optometry career working in a large nursing home eyecare practice in Dallas, Texas. In 1999 he moved back to Kansas, starting his private practice in Olathe. He holds optometry licenses in Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma, and is certified to perform optometric laser procedures (including PRK laser vision correction) in Oklahoma. He is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
He enjoys traveling and watching the Chiefs and Royals in his spare time.
Dr. Matt Laurie
Optometrist
Dr. Matt Laurie is from Manhattan, Kansas. He received his B.S. in Life Sciences from Kansas State University in 1993 and his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2000. Dr. Laurie started his optometry career in Baltimore, Maryland and moved back to Kansas to start his private practice in Overland Park in 2003. He holds optometry licenses in Kansas, Missouri and Florida.
Dr. Laurie resides in Overland Park with his wife Melissa and their two children Jake and Alexandra. In his spare time he enjoys coaching his kids in multiple sports.
Beth-Ann Reeves-Castro
Office Manager
Beth-Ann is from Junction City, Kansas and graduated from Ottawa High School. She has been with Vision Today since 2011 and has gained extensive experience and knowledge of spectacle frames, lenses and contact lenses. She is currently pursuing her American Board of Opticianry (ABO) Certification.
